UI/UX designer Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic UI/UX Design Intern who is passionate about designing intuitive, modern, and user-friendly digital experiences. The intern will work closely with our UI/UX designers, Product Managers, and Developers to understand project requirements and contribute to designing websites, web applications, and mobile applications. This internship offers hands-on experience in real-world product design, user experience research, wireframing, prototyping, and modern AI-powered design tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing user interfaces for websites, web applications, and mobile applications.
• Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
• Create creative visual assets including social media posts, banners, promotional graphics, logos, branding materials, brochures, presentations, and other digital and print collaterals as per project requirements.
• Convert project requirements and references into creative design concepts.
• Assist in creating responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Work on UI components, design systems, typography, colors, and visual consistency.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and Product Managers.
• Research modern design trends, competitor products, and UI/UX best practices.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and design discussions.
• Incorporate feedback and make necessary design improvements.
• Explore AI-powered tools to improve design workflows and productivity.
• Maintain organized Figma files and design documentation.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
• Familiarity with Figma and other design tools.
• Understanding of typography, color combinations, spacing, alignment, and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to create basic wireframes and UI layouts.
• Creative thinking and an eye for detail.
• Willingness to learn and experiment with new design approaches.
• Basic understanding of responsive design.

AI & Emerging Design Tools

• Interest in exploring AI-powered design tools such as ChatGPT, Figma AI, Midjourney, Uizard, Framer AI, Google Stitch, or similar platforms.
• Willingness to use AI tools for design inspiration, research, ideation, and workflow enhancement.
• Curiosity to explore new technologies and modern design practices.

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, or other graphic design tools.
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
• Interest in mobile app and SaaS product design.
• Experience with college projects, personal design projects, or freelance assignments.
• Knowledge of animations, micro-interactions, and design trends.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• A portfolio showcasing academic projects, personal projects, or UI/UX design explorations is preferred.
• Strong creative mindset and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude, initiative, and attention to detail.
