About The Role

Mochi Health is a direct-to-patient telehealth company specializing in obesity medicine and expanding into primary care.

We're looking for an independently driven, detail-oriented Operations Associate to support both our core clinical workflows and the buildout of our insurance program. This is a blended role: part of your time keeps clinical operations running smoothly, and part helps stand up and scale the insurance and payer side of the business as we grow. You'll learn the mechanics of payer contracting, credentialing, and compliant billing from the ground up, working closely with Clinical, Product, Care, and Data teams and our Insurance & Payer lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize clinical workflows by identifying inefficiencies, implementing solutions, and improving care coordination.
  • Analyze performance data using AI and other tools to track provider KPIs and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Act as a key liaison for providers, gathering feedback and streamlining workflows, and keep provider content and training resources up to date.
  • Support day-to-day operations of the insurance program, coordinating across the credentialing team, billing operations, and external partners.
  • Help manage provider credentialing and enrollment for insurance panels, tracking timely enrollment and re-credentialing across the payer network.
  • Assist with payer contracting: organizing contract and rate information, preparing inputs for rate discussions, and tracking expansion into new payer networks.
  • Support a team of agents that review billing and coding, helping monitor their output, surface documentation gaps and denial patterns, and escalate issues that create compliance or revenue risk.
  • Monitor claims and vendor performance against collection, denial, and claims lifecycle targets.
  • Help keep the program aligned with CMS billing rules, state telehealth parity requirements, and payer documentation requirements, and maintain the related SOPs.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to translate insurance-program needs into EMR requirements, and help define reporting on key program KPIs.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, payer operations, clinical operations, or a related analytical role.
  • Health-tech or telehealth exposure is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related field.
  • Comfortable working full-time, in-office in our downtown San Francisco office.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving, and comfort using data to inform decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to know how, when, and what to communicate.
  • Experience working across teams and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure in an early-stage program.
  • A team-first mindset: humility, collaboration, and partnership are key.
  • Nice to have: exposure to E&M or telehealth billing, familiarity with credentialing, payer contracting, or revenue cycle concepts.
