Financial Analyst trainee

About the Role

• Assist with the new business process while working with Finance Manager and Financial Analyst.
• Responsible for day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting, and required analysis.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Prepare financial reports, charts, tables, and other exhibits as required.
• Prepare various MIS reports and financial statements.
• Enter accounting records to show expenditures and receipts; this includes entering data into the general ledger, trial balance, accounts payables and refunds accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Assist in monthly account reconciliations and other accounting support responsibilities.
• Responsible for internal procurement and payments with proper approval process.
• Perform various financial analysis as required by the senior team members.
• Assist manager in fund management and cash flow analysis.
• Responsible for liaising with external parties like Bank, Auditor, CA, consultants in coordination with senior team members.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA/MBA preferred.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of financial accounting tools such as Tally, Quickbooks etc.
• Knowledge & awareness of statutory compliances and updates including GST, Income Tax.
• Must have extremely strong Google Sheets/MS Excel skills.
• GS Suite knowledge and experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of strategic business processes.
• Excellent operational acumen.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
