Associate Technical Instructor(s)

About the Role

• Deliver Neueda’s technical training programmes to graduates and experienced professionals at leading financial services and technology organisations.
• Work alongside senior instructors to deliver sessions, support learners through hands-on labs and exercises, and contribute to the development of course materials.
• Build a career in technical education with structured support to grow into a lead instructor.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design and development of training programmes, lesson plans, labs and exercises, tailored to the needs of each client and cohort.
• Instruction Delivery: Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training sessions using a mix of techniques, including instructor-led teaching, live coding demonstrations, hands-on labs and interactive discussion.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Assess learner progress through exercises, code reviews and assessments, and help evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes.
• Continuous Improvement: Update and refine training materials based on learner feedback and developments in technology, so that content stays current and relevant.
• Support and Guidance: Provide one-to-one and small-group support, giving constructive feedback that helps learners master complex technical concepts.
• Professional Development: Shadow and co-deliver with experienced instructors, building your subject expertise and delivery skills across Neueda’s course portfolio.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of at least one of the technical areas listed below, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accurately.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present to groups and explain technical concepts in an accessible way.
• Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prepare thoroughly for sessions and manage multiple cohorts and related administrative tasks.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt your approach to suit different learning styles, experience levels and delivery formats.
• Growth Mindset: Enthusiasm for picking up new technologies quickly and a real interest in helping others succeed.

Desirable technical skills include:

• Full stack development
• Python
• Quantitative finance concepts and tooling
• JavaScript
• Front-end development and UI/UX with Angular or React
• SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Cloud computing, preferably AWS
• AI-assisted development: GitHub Copilot and other coding assistants, prompt engineering, RAG and agents

Qualifications

• Some experience of teaching, mentoring, tutoring or presenting technical content, whether in a formal training role, in academia, or as a developer leading sessions for colleagues.
