About the Role
We’re looking for a social-savvy, creative Social Media Engagement Intern to help run our brands’ social presence day to day. This is a hands-on learning opportunity for someone who lives on social media, writes well, and wants to learn how engagement and content work together to grow a brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to comments, mentions, tags, and reviews across all brand accounts in each brand’s voice.
- Manage social inboxes and DMs, routing leads and support requests to the right team.
- Moderate comment sections, remove spam, and escalate sensitive conversations per our guidelines.
- Proactively engage with followers, partners, and trending conversations to grow reach.
- Spot emerging trends, sounds, and formats and turn them into timely, on-brand content ideas.
- Pitch creative concepts for posts, Reels, and series, and help bring them to life from idea to publish.
- Help create social content — graphics, short-form video, Stories, Reels, and captions — using Canva and platform tools.
- Schedule and publish posts and help maintain the content calendar.
- Track engagement, response times, and post performance, and share takeaways.
- Support campaigns, events, brainstorms, and general marketing tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to match different brand voices.
- Active, confident user of social media platforms with a sharp eye for what’s trending and why.
- Creative thinker who brings original ideas and isn’t afraid to pitch them.
- Friendly, empathetic, and good at reading tone, with sound judgment when handling customer questions or complaints.
- An eye for visuals and comfort creating simple graphics and short-form video.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple inboxes and a content calendar.
- Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Experience with design tools (Canva).
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (Metricool, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).
- Short-form video editing experience (CapCut, Instagram/TikTok tools).
- Experience moderating an online community or brand page.
- Customer service experience.
- A portfolio or examples of social accounts or content you’ve managed.
What You’ll Gain
- Hands-on experience in social media engagement, content creation, and community management.
- Mentorship from experienced marketing professionals.
- Exposure to real campaigns, real audiences, and measurable outcomes.
- A collaborative, supportive team environment.
- Potential for full-time employment / Networking opportunities / Letter of recommendation.
