About the Role
An internship opportunity within the technology department of a leading service organization in the aviation industry. This role offers professional experience within an Agile Scrum environment under the mentorship of senior developers.
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in an official internship program through their university.
- This position requires a physical presence in the Tampa office; remote work is not offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, building, and testing of software features.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Utilize modern development tools, including AI assisted coding platforms, for documentation, debugging, and research.
- Perform root cause analysis for software defects.
- Execute automated testing to ensure application reliability.
- Maintain technical documentation for all projects.
- Collaborate with product owners and peers through Git based workflows and code reviews.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic understanding of computer systems and technical troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both peers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude toward learning and professional development.
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Java.
- Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Interest in or experience with web applications, APIs, SQL databases, or cloud environments.
- Awareness of AI development tools like GitHub Copilot or similar LLMs.
- Previous experience with academic or personal coding projects and hackathons.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI and Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
- Students attending local institutions in the Tampa Bay region are preferred.
