About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site MEP Quantity Surveyor (MEP QS) role based in Mumbai with Taisei India.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.
• Supporting accurate cost estimation and budgeting for ongoing projects.
• Assisting in tender preparation and evaluation.
• Coordinating with design and project teams to clarify specifications.
• Helping track variations and change orders.
• Maintaining measurement records.
• Supporting the preparation of bills of quantities.
• Assisting in subcontractor evaluation.
• Contributing to progress reports and cost control documentation.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure MEP works are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
• Familiarity with quantity surveying or estimation software.
• Basic CAD skills are an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in MEP quantity surveying, including measurement, cost estimation, and preparation of bills of quantities.
• Knowledge of building construction processes, MEP systems, and relevant standards or codes applicable to large commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Effective communication and coordination abilities.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and documentation skills.
• Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• Prior experience in MEP QS or related roles in construction projects, preferably with exposure to large-scale or international contractors.
• Ability to work on-site in Mumbai.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to collaborate in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.

Note on Corporate Culture: Working schedule is 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.
