Cyber Security Internship

About the Role

SecRange Solutions, founded in 2022, provides continuous open-source threat hunting and 24x7 managed Security Operations Center (SOC) services. The company combines threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and application/cloud security. This is an on-site internship role for a Cyber Security Engineer based in Faridabad. Team members gain exposure to modern security technologies, real-time incident monitoring, and advanced defensive techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring security events.
• Support threat hunting activities.
• Help analyze logs from various security tools and platforms.
• Contribute to vulnerability assessments.
• Review application and network configurations for security gaps.
• Document findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on incident response.
• Update security documentation and playbooks.
• Participate in continuous improvement of SOC processes.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Network Security: Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure network architectures.
• Application Security: Understanding of common vulnerabilities and secure coding principles.
• Vulnerability Assessment: Basic knowledge of scanning tools and remediation processes.
• Ability to analyze technical information.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to document findings clearly.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security concepts, including basic security frameworks and best practices.
• Pursuing or completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Interest in working in a SOC environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent) are an advantage but not required.
