About the Role

The Sales Attendant is a full-time, on-site role at SHYAM SUPER STORE in Srinagar.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers
• Assisting customers in locating products
• Answering customer questions
• Providing basic product information
• Handling billing and cash transactions at the counter
• Issuing receipts
• Ensuring accurate cash management
• Restocking shelves
• Monitoring inventory levels
• Maintaining cleanliness in the sales area
• Arranging products for clear display
• Supporting periodic stock counts
• Coordinating with other team members
• Following store policies and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Ability to provide courteous, patient, and helpful customer service
• Clear communication with diverse shoppers
• Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills
• Attention to detail for billing, receipts, and daily reconciliation
• Organizational skills
• Reliability in following instructions and adhering to store procedures
• Willingness to work effectively within a team
• Willingness to stand for extended periods
• Willingness to move stock and perform general physical tasks
• Basic literacy in English or local language
• Availability to work full-time, including weekends or holidays

Prior experience in retail or customer-facing roles is an advantage but not mandatory; training can be provided.
