System Integration Engineer (UAV/Drone)
Location: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai
About the Project
This Government-funded project focuses on developing and demonstrating drone and allied technologies for various applications. It will utilize advanced technologies and critical infrastructure, foster industry connections and collaborations, and provide comprehensive drone training and awareness programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Component selection, evaluation, and integration of various components for drones and ground control stations, including power supplies, batteries, UPS, and grounding systems.
- Perform load analysis and power optimization.
- Interface sensors, displays, control panels, and telemetry hardware.
- Implement communication links (LOS and BVLOS).
- Integrate ground control station hardware and software with UAV systems.
- Ensure designs comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality norms.
- Provide technical documentation, including design specifications, SoPs, and reports.
- Undertake any other assigned work as per project requirements.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Expertise in selecting components and modifying UAVs based on tests, payloads, and sensor requirements.
- Analog and digital electronics, RF, WiFi, and Cellular communication systems, antenna systems.
- EMI/EMC compliance, cables, connectors, routing, and installation.
- Familiarity with UAV regulations and safety standards.
- Experience with Mission Planning using Mission Planner, QGC, etc.
- Understanding of flight physics and Drone Parameters.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications
- PhD with relevant experience
- MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience
- BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
