About the Role

Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA R&D Cloud Team is seeking an AI Software Intern to join the AI Applications team. This internship focuses on developing new and innovative technology in machine learning and generative AI for the SIMULIA family of products, contributing to best-in-class simulation applications and technologies within the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and on the Cloud. The intern will experience the full software development lifecycle, gain in-depth knowledge in specific aspects, and work in a fast-paced environment. This is a paid 6-month internship with a flexible start in early 2027.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn Web application development and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Develop expertise in service technologies specific to Grid.
• Apply knowledge gained in computer science/engineering courses to real-world problems.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to solve problems.
• Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
• Design the software system, describing specifications in technical terms.
• Code, compile, and run unit tests according to implemented processes.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological developments, understand partner requirements, and be aware of competing products.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Actively engaged in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Possesses hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or others).
• Possesses hands-on experience with AI/ML.
• Demonstrates experience writing code fixes and tools to solve problems in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Possesses experience with linear coding and using language features when necessary (e.g., data structures, branching, function-calls, and conditionals).
• Knowledge for AI and ML is a plus.

Internship Details

• Paid 6-month internship.
• Flexible start early in 2027.
• Work schedule can be tailored to balance internship and academic schedules.
• First 3 months can be full-time (up to 40 hrs/week) or the entire 6 months can be part-time (up to 30 hrs/week).
• Position is based at the Dassault Systemes office located at 1301 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI. NO REMOTE offered for this role.
• Compensation: $22 - $32 per hour.
