About the Role
Matrix Design Group, Inc., an employee-owned planning, engineering, and environmental consulting firm, is seeking a Spring 2027 intern to support its Colorado Springs and Denver offices. This is a collaborative, 10-week paid program offering exposure to practicing principles within a multidisciplinary firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with a manager/director on a variety of projects.
- Engage in planning, designing, and field work.
- Gain experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, Bluebeam, and ArcGIS.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must be enrolled in a degree program related to Civil Engineering, GIS, Water Resources and Watershed Sciences, Ecological Services, Construction Management, Planning, Environmental Services, or Landscape Architecture.
- Must be a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program OR currently enrolled in a Master’s/PhD program.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3-D, Bluebeam, and ArcGIS.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a degree program closely related to Civil Engineering, GIS, Water Resources and Watershed Sciences, Ecological Services, Construction Management, Planning, Environmental Services, or Landscape Architecture.
- Must be a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program OR currently enrolled in a Master’s/PhD program.
- Excellent communication and applied problem-solving skills are desired.

Pay Range: $22.00 to $24.00 Hourly (dependent upon experience)
