About the Role

ScratchNest is a product engineering and manufacturing company building the next generation of intelligent electronics in India. The team designs hardware from first principles, integrating electronics, embedded software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to solve real-world problems.

This is a full-time, on-site Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Engineer role based in Noida.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate system and electrical requirements into robust PCB architectures, including schematic creation and board layout.
• Collaborate with electronics, firmware, and mechanical teams to optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Component selection.
• Signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
• Design reviews.
• Documentation.
• Coordination with manufacturing partners for prototyping and production.
• Support testing, debugging, and iterative improvement of PCB designs to meet product and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Tech Stack

• Circuit design and analog design skills to develop stable, reliable electronic subsystems.
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles for power, signal integrity, and system-level design.
• Board layout expertise, including placement, routing, and design for manufacturability.
• Experience with radio frequency (RF) design or RF-aware layout for high-speed or wireless applications.
• Proficiency with PCB CAD tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, or similar).
• Understanding of PCB fabrication processes, assembly constraints, and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret datasheets, schematics, and technical documentation, and to conduct design reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
