About the Role

EY is looking for an Executive in Statutory Audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct operational, financial, process, and systems audits to review and appraise activities, systems, and controls.
• Identify accounting and auditing issues and discuss with the audit in-charge for resolution.
• Perform substantive testing of appliances in accordance with the audit plan and document all work performed.
• Identify improvements to control systems and procedures.
• Present audit reports to management, clearly highlighting key audit recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain statutory books of accounts.
• Perform audit and reconciliation of accounts receivable & payable.
• Finalize accounts.
• Assist seniors in reviewing financial statements and preparing the audit report, management comment letter, and management representation letter.

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Strong knowledge of auditing & accounting standards.
• Experience handling statutory audit assignments.
• Ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments and manage ambiguity.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.

• Good presentation skills and ability to respond promptly.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant.
