Operations Intern, Laminated Products Plant

About the Role

Haworth is seeking paid Operations Interns to support our Laminated Products Plant. This 12-week program offers meaningful projects, weekly learning opportunities, and exposure to industry trends and innovations.

Job Overview

• Join a cohort of approximately 50 interns for a 12-week program.
• Attend NeoCon, the largest commercial design event in the world.
• Participate in interactive workshops covering networking, public speaking, and AI tools in a business environment.
• Connect with mentors and explore various office and manufacturing processes.
• Engage in intern-only social events.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives in the Laminated Products Plant.
• Contribute to data-driven decision making.
• Gain leadership experience.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Ability to work on-site in Holland, MI from May 2027 to August 2027.
• Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheet applications, and keyboard skills.
• Experience with Office 365 tools.

Qualifications

• Part-time or full-time college enrollment, working towards a bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or General Business with at least junior-level status by Fall of 2027.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Desire to learn, question, and research solutions to problems.
• Organized with the ability to manage deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Overall GPA of 2.95 or higher.
• Prior Haworth experience.
• Previous employment experience.
• Extra-curricular activity experience (athletics, clubs, volunteer work, etc.).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Basic computer skills.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
