Interior Designer

About the Role

Imagine Studio is a design studio based in Kolkata, specializing in creative and functional interior solutions for residential and commercial spaces. The studio focuses on blending aesthetics with practicality to meet diverse client needs and lifestyle preferences. Team members collaborate closely with clients to translate ideas into detailed design concepts and finished spaces. The Interior Designer will work on-site in Kolkata in a full-time capacity, collaborating with the design team and clients to develop interior concepts from initial brief through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Space planning
• Preparing design presentations
• Selecting materials and finishes
• Coordinating site execution
• Creating and reviewing construction drawings
• Working closely with architects and contractors
• Ensuring that designs are executed according to specifications, timelines, and budget
• Conducting site visits
• Managing design revisions
• Maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders

Requirements & Tech Stack

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Photoshop (or similar tools)
• Basic presentation tools

Qualifications

• Ability to plan and organize spaces effectively, with strong skills in Space Planning and Interior Design.
• Foundational understanding of Architecture and building systems.
• Proficiency in preparing and reading Construction Drawings.
• Relevant academic background in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong visual and aesthetic sense, attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Prior experience in interior design or related internships in residential or commercial projects is an advantage.
