About the Role

We're looking for a confident, well-connected communicator who knows how the media and news industry works from the inside. You'll own our outreach, build relationships with journalists, brands, and partners, and bring in sponsorships for our events, content, and initiatives. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys picking up the phone, writing the cold email that gets a reply, and walking into a meeting ready to close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sponsorships and Partnerships:
  • Identify, pitch, and secure sponsors and brand partners for Digital Corridor and TCF events, campaigns, and content properties.
  • Prepare sponsorship decks and proposals, negotiate deliverables, and follow through until the deal is signed.
  • Outreach and Meeting Acquisition:
  • Run sustained outreach through email, LinkedIn, phone, and personal networks to book meetings with decision-makers such as marketing heads, CXOs, founders, agency leads, and editors.
  • Maintain a pipeline and track every lead to a clear outcome.
  • Media Relations and PR:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and news desks across print, TV, and digital outlets.
  • Pitch stories, secure coverage, and coordinate interviews and press appearances.
  • Communications and Content:
  • Draft press releases, media kits, pitch emails, announcements, and partner communications.
  • Ensure every message is clear, credible, and on-brand.
  • Events and Representation:
  • Represent Digital Corridor and TCF at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions, and coordinate media presence at our own events.
  • Tracking and Reporting:
  • Monitor media coverage, maintain a media and sponsor database, and share regular reports on outreach activity, meetings booked, and partnerships closed.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Excellent spoken and written communication in English and Hindi.
  • Confidence to pitch senior stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of how newsrooms, digital media platforms, and advertising or sponsorship deals work.
  • A proven ability to get meetings, with examples of outreach that turned into coverage, partnerships, or revenue.
  • Persistence, professionalism, and comfort with follow-ups and rejection.
  • Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM tools, Canva, and media monitoring platforms (Good to have).

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in PR, media relations, brand partnerships, or sponsorship sales, ideally within the media, news, or events industry (internships count for the intern role).
  • An existing network of journalists, editors, brand managers, or agency contacts (Good to have).
  • Experience preparing sponsorship decks and pitch proposals (Good to have).
  • Degree or coursework in Journalism, Mass Communication, PR, Marketing, or a related field (Good to have).
  • For intern role: Final-year students or recent graduates with relevant internship or campus media experience.

What You'll Get

  • Direct exposure to leadership and real decision-making from day one.
  • Performance-linked incentives on sponsorships and partnerships you close.
  • The chance to build your own media and industry network.
  • Certificate / letter of recommendation / PPO for interns.
