About the Role
This is a Spring Intern position with the City of Chesapeake Police Department, focusing on Digital Media & Recruiting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide own transportation to and from work.
- Arrive at the work site at the time designated by the worksite supervisor.
- Perform tasks assigned by the vocational instructor/coordinator and the worksite supervisor in an efficient manner.
- Demonstrate honesty, punctuality, courtesy, a cooperative attitude, appropriate dress, and a willingness to learn.
- Conform to the guidelines of the internship worksite.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record in compliance with City Driving Standards.
- Interest in social media and digital content creation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
Qualifications
- Junior, senior, or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university, or recently graduated (within one year of graduation).
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. (Preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills. (Preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional and confidential environment. (Preferred)
