About the Role
Republic Airways is seeking a Safety Intern for Spring 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe Safety department meetings
- Analyze Safety data
- Identify trends in data and present findings to senior management
- Research data to assist in process improvement for any interfacing departments
- Understand company emergency response procedures and assist in improvement of existing procedures
- Participate in operational risk assessments
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work onsite at our Carmel Headquarters location
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Able to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentation
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction
- Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results
- Able to move about the work environment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear
- Travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Aviation Management, Operational Analysis/Management, Industrial Management, Engineering, or similar field of study
- Minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
