HVAC Draftman

About the Role

The HVAC Draftman role at Gray Ice India is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD software.
• Interpret design inputs.
• Prepare ducting and piping layouts.
• Update drawings based on review comments.
• Ensure alignment with relevant standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve design issues.
• Maintain drawing records and documentation.
• Support quantity estimation or bill of materials based on finalized drawings.
• Meet project deadlines.
• Follow established drafting workflows.
• Contribute to the quality and consistency of project deliverables.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in CAD drafting tools (AutoCAD or similar).
• Ability to produce clear, accurate HVAC drawings.
• Understanding of basic HVAC design principles, duct and pipe routing.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and codes.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical documents and convert them into detailed layouts.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple drawing revisions and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to project-specific requirements, and follow established quality and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Prior HVAC drafting experience is an advantage.
