Social Media Associate

About the Role

Shala is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Associate for its growing team. This role is suitable for a fresher or an individual with up to one year of experience who understands social media trends, possesses a strong sense of content, and is eager to learn and grow in the digital space. You will collaborate with the Brand and Content teams to create engaging content, manage social media platforms, and build a meaningful digital presence for Shala. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Planning & Execution
• Assist in planning and executing social media content calendars.
• Research trending topics, reels, audio, and content formats relevant to Shala.
• Develop creative ideas for reels, carousels, stories, and other social media formats.
• Write engaging captions, hooks, and copy aligned with the brand's voice.
• Social Media Management
• Assist in managing Shala's Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
• Schedule and publish content according to the content calendar.
• Monitor comments, engagement, and community interactions.
• Track content performance and assist in preparing basic analytics reports.
• Research & Collaboration
• Stay updated with social media trends, platform updates, and competitor content.
• Coordinate with designers, video editors, and other team members for timely content delivery.
• Contribute fresh ideas to improve content quality, engagement, and reach.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience: 0–1 years in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
• Skills:
• Understanding of Instagram, YouTube, reels, carousels, and current social media trends.
• Good command of written English for engaging captions and hooks.
• Creativity, proactivity, detail-orientation, and eagerness to learn.
• Basic understanding of Canva and social media analytics.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
• Interests: Genuine interest in yoga, spirituality, wellness, or purpose-driven brands is a plus.

Qualifications

• Freshers with relevant skills and a strong portfolio are welcome.
• Candidates demonstrating abilities through personal projects, internships, freelance work, or a portfolio will be preferred.
• Applicants currently based in Shimla or Delhi who are comfortable relocating to Shoghi, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, will be preferred.
