Associate Backend Engineer Java

About the Role

• Saatvik Agro is seeking an Associate Backend Engineer Java for a full-time, on-site position in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.
• This role is ideal for fresh graduates and early-career professionals interested in Java backend development and software engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Java-based backend services, APIs, databases, internal platforms, enterprise applications, automation solutions, and digital systems.
• Collaborate with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, production, supply chain, finance, sales, and other business teams.
• Work with technologies such as Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, JPA, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, microservices, cloud platforms, messaging systems, testing frameworks, Git, CI/CD, and modern Java backend technologies.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, collections, exception handling, interfaces, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, multithreading, concurrency, and clean coding practices.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, or similar Java backend frameworks is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, API integration, and system integration.
• Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or similar relational and NoSQL databases is beneficial.
• Understanding of database design, normalization, joins, indexing, transactions, schemas, CRUD operations, queries, and data-access concepts is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, debugging, code reviews, and collaborative software-development workflows.
• Basic understanding of Linux, application deployment, environment configuration, logging, monitoring, and production-support concepts is advantageous.
• Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, role-based access control, secure coding, input validation, API security, encryption, authentication, and authorization concepts is beneficial.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Final-year students completing their degree and available for full-time employment may also apply.

• Internship, academic project, Java project, Spring Boot project, backend project, API project, database project, microservices project, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, startup project, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory.

• Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to understand business and technical requirements and contribute to practical, reliable, scalable, maintainable, and secure Java backend solutions.

• Willingness to work in an on-site environment.

• Strong willingness to learn new Java technologies, backend frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, testing tools, and modern software-engineering practices.

• Exposure to microservices architecture, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, scalable backend services, or event-driven systems will be beneficial but is not mandatory.

• Exposure to JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, Postman, unit testing, integration testing, API testing, or automated testing will be beneficial but is not mandatory.

• Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, background jobs, or event-driven architecture will be considered an advantage.

• Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, or similar cloud and DevOps technologies will be beneficial.

• Exposure to application performance optimization, database tuning, connection pooling, caching, scalability, reliability, observability, and troubleshooting will be advantageous.

• Familiarity with ORM technologies, repositories, persistence layers, entity relationships, transactions, and backend data-access patterns will be beneficial.

• Exposure to frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js will be beneficial but is not mandatory.

• Exposure to automation, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, generative AI, ERP, CRM, dashboards, reporting systems, or enterprise applications will be considered an additional advantage.

• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, requirements gathering, user stories, sprint planning, or issue tracking will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
