Junior Interior Designer

About the Role

• This is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat.
• The Junior Interior Designer will support senior designers and architects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior concepts, space plans, and design presentations for residential, commercial, and corporate projects.
• Prepare construction drawings.
• Assist with material and FF&E selections.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Update design documentation.
• Conduct site visits for measurements and inspections.
• Collaborate with the project team to resolve design details.
• Ensure interior solutions align with sustainability and performance goals.
• Participate in client meetings.
• Contribute to design reviews.
• Support project delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
• Interest in sustainable design and familiarity with green building principles.
• Experience with LEED or similar frameworks is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Interior Design, with practical experience in Space Planning and FF&E selection.
• Understanding of Architecture principles and their integration with interior design solutions.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate Construction Drawings and design documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• Attention to detail, strong visual and spatial awareness, and an eye for materials, finishes, and lighting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work on-site in Surat and conduct regular site visits as required.
