Position Overview

Future Interns is seeking a Machine Learning Intern to support assigned machine learning and data-related projects during October 2026. Interns will assist with data preparation, experimentation, model evaluation, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare datasets for assigned machine learning tasks.
• Assist with data cleaning and preprocessing.
• Support feature engineering activities.
• Implement baseline models under guidance.
• Compare model results using appropriate evaluation methods.
• Analyze model outputs and document observations.
• Maintain records of experiments and relevant configurations.
• Investigate basic data or model issues identified during project work.
• Assist with testing alternative approaches.
• Communicate findings and technical questions to mentors or project members.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Understanding of basic data preprocessing.
• Familiarity with common model evaluation concepts.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document technical work clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Scikit-learn.
• Exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of NumPy and Pandas.
• Understanding of basic regression and classification.
• Academic or personal machine learning projects.
