Software Development Engineer 1

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend/full-stack applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Design and integrate REST APIs, databases, webhooks, queues, and third-party services.
• Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases for data modelling, queries, and data management.
• Build and maintain user-facing features using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Write unit, integration, and API tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Debug application and production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Use logs, metrics, and debugging tools to monitor and resolve application issues.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Effectively use AI-assisted development tools, while reviewing, testing, and taking ownership of the generated code.
