Digital Services Development Support and Operations Internship Summer 2027

About the Role

This is a full-time, 14-week hybrid summer internship (40 hours/week) occurring between May 3 - August 13, 2027, or May 10 - August 20, 2027. Candidates residing near Grand Rapids, Southfield, or St. Joseph are welcome to apply.

Job Summary

The team plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing custom software solutions, ensuring systems run smoothly and efficiently to support the mission of improving health, instilling humanity, and inspiring hope. The team values variety, collaboration, and a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve software by adding new features or enhancing performance.
• Work with business customers on improvements and implement new ideas.
• Fix bugs and troubleshoot issues in systems.
• Complete support tasks as directed.
• Document actions taken.
• Analyze department processes and other Spectrum Health systems encountered and make recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in quality monitoring and process improvement activities.
• Communicate, collaborate, and act as a team player to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an area of accountability.
• May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
