About the Role
The Junior Data Engineer will support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines that power Jobrion’s products and internal analytics. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building ETL processes.
- Contribute to data models.
- Monitor data quality.
- Help maintain data warehousing solutions.
- Support reporting and data analytics initiatives by ensuring datasets are reliable, well-structured, and accessible.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and data analysts.
- Document work.
- Engage in continuous learning.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Foundational skills in Data Engineering and familiarity with building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing.
- Skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes.
- Skills in Data Analytics.
- Basic proficiency in SQL.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
- Understanding of cloud data platforms or services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is advantageous.
- Understanding of version control tools (e.g., Git) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Capacity to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
