Medical Scribe, Family Medicine

About the Role

A Medical Scribe position in Family Medicine at The Iowa Clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive at work in the morning.
• Work directly under the guidance of a seasoned Registered Nurse and Dr. Olson.
• Accompany physician into the patient examination room to transcribe a history and physical exam.
• Document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient.
• List all proper diagnoses and symptoms.
• Document follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
• Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
• Document procedures performed by physician.
• Document other needed information.
• Perform other office tasks as assigned.
• Work standard clinic hours.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months as a Medical Scribe.
• Medical office experience.
• Medical Terminology.
