Quality & Reliability Engineering Intern

About the Role

At Reality Labs, our goal is to explore, innovate, and design the hardware for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. We are seeking a motivated Quality & Reliability (Q&R) Engineering Intern to join our team at Meta Reality Labs.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive reliability test development and specification research.
• Formulate quality control procedures and sampling plans.
• Source quality and reliability data from disparate sources to create insights.
• Develop dynamic and durable dashboards that are derived from evolving datasets.
• Present insights to leadership team.
• Drive quality control procedure development, reliability test development and specification research, and failure analysis (FA) for hardware issues, bringing together information from multiple sources to develop insight-rich dashboards.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Currently possessing or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering or science: reliability engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, physics or a related field.
• Basic fundamentals in engineering principles.
• Basic fundamentals in data science skills and basic programming: particularly in Tableau, JMP, SQL, Python / R and Google suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with quality or reliability engineering principles (Preferred).
• Experience with Monte Carlo simulations, modelling tools and forecasting techniques (Preferred).
• Experience with advanced data science, database or ML/AI tools (Preferred).

Qualifications

• Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op.
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
