Role: Marketing Automation Intern (Langchain & AI automations & RAG)

About the Role

Fission Inc is looking for a curious and proactive Marketing Automation Intern who is interested in using AI tools and automation to improve marketing operations and support business growth. In this role, you will work on AI-powered tools, identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, research potential customers, and help build efficient marketing workflows & build sales pipeline. You will work on lead generation, prospect research, outreach support, and marketing process optimization while experimenting with tools that make everyday business activities faster and more effective. We are looking for someone who is curious working on new technologies, analyzing problems, testing ideas, and turning them into practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketing workflow automation: Identify repetitive marketing tasks and develop automated workflows using AI tools and platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Make.
• Lead generation: Research potential B2B customers, identify relevant companies, and build organized prospect lists based on Fission's target markets and services.
• Prospect research: Use AI tools to research companies, understand their business needs, identify relevant decision-makers, and prepare useful prospect insights.
• AI-powered outreach: Use AI to draft and personalize outreach emails, LinkedIn messages, and follow-ups for potential customers.
• Pipeline management: Help organize lead information, track outreach activities, maintain spreadsheets or CRM records, and support follow-up processes.
• Prompt engineering: Create and refine prompts to improve the quality of AI-generated research, content, prospect information, and business outputs.
• Content and campaign support: Assist with creating marketing content, campaign ideas, email sequences, and other materials that support lead generation.
• Tool integration: Explore ways to connect different applications using APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms to reduce manual work.
• Research and experimentation: Explore emerging AI tools and automation techniques, test new workflows, and recommend practical improvements.
• Performance tracking: Monitor workflow efficiency, outreach activity, and lead generation results to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strategy execution: Work with the team to analyze growth opportunities, implement marketing initiatives, and improve the overall marketing pipeline.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with n8n, Zapier, Make, or other workflow automation platforms.
• Basic knowledge of APIs, webhooks, JSON, Python, or JavaScript.
• Exposure to CRM tools, spreadsheets, lead management, or email marketing platforms.
• Understanding of LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, SEO, AEO, GEO.
• Personal projects or practical experiments involving AI tools or automated workflows.
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of prompt engineering and the ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs.
• Interest in lead generation, B2B marketing, market research, or business development.
• Analytical thinking and the ability to organize information and identify patterns.
