About the Role

Referment is working with a global investment and technology firm seeking a Corporate Development Associate in New York City. This Corporate Development team sits at the centre of the firm's growth agenda, proposing, developing, and executing high-priority initiatives that expand the business, including new investment strategies, new businesses, products, and other commercial activities. This role offers early exposure to senior decision-makers and the chance to shape the firm's direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Propose, research, and execute new business ideas.
• Coordinate and manage critical projects across the firm.
• Work with teams across the organization to generate and develop new products.
• Contribute to corporate strategy and regularly present recommendations to senior management.
• Translate strategic thinking into structured, actionable plans.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor's or graduate degree.
• Impressive record of academic or professional achievement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Up to three years of work experience.
• Ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable recommendations for senior audiences.
• Prior finance knowledge or experience is not required.
• Past associates have come from fields including law, engineering, basic science research, philosophy, computer science, and government.
• This role suits a high-performing early-career professional from consulting, law, engineering, research, or government who wants to move into a commercial strategy role with genuine ownership of new business initiatives.

Compensation

• Expected annual base salary: $135,000 - $160,000.
