About the Role
Mainframe Testing
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents.
- Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Perform Functional, System, Regression, Integration, End-to-End, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate Mainframe batch jobs, online transactions, and business workflows.
- Perform file validation and data reconciliation between source and target systems.
- Execute database and backend testing using Mainframe data sources.
- Validate interfaces between Mainframe and distributed applications.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects through closure.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA activities.
- Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and status updates.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Mainframe Technologies
- Strong experience in Mainframe Testing.
- Hands-on experience with:
- IBM z/OS
- TSO/ISPF
- JCL (Job Control Language)
- VSAM
- CICS
- COBOL Applications
- DB2
- IMS (preferred)
- Ability to understand and validate Mainframe batch and online processes.
