Junior Architect

About the Role

A full-time, on-site Junior Architect role at Blue Cube Architects and Interiors, located in Anna Nagar, Chennai. The role involves assisting in developing architectural and interior design concepts, preparing drawings, 3D models, and presentations under the guidance of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing architectural and interior design concepts.
• Prepare drawings, 3D models, and presentations.
• Draft plans and sections.
• Coordinate with consultants.
• Collect site measurements.
• Support material selection and specifications.
• Prepare documentation for clients and authorities.
• Participate in design discussions.
• Ensure project deliverables align with design intent and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with designers and project leads to support projects from conceptual stage to execution.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• Internship or 0–2 years of professional experience preferred.
• Strong skills in architectural drafting and 3D modeling.
• Ability to develop design concepts, space planning solutions, and basic interior layouts aligned with project requirements.
• Proficiency in creating presentation drawings, mood boards, and visualizations.
• Knowledge of building materials, interior finishes, basic construction techniques, and detailing standards.
• Good understanding of local building codes, regulations, and approval processes is an advantage.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants and vendors.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback constructively, and grow within a design-focused, client-centric practice.
