Software Engineer Intern

About the Role

The Software Engineer Intern role at Pentasent is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The intern will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and web applications, working closely with senior engineers to implement new features and improve system performance. This role offers exposure to real-world product development in a mission-driven healthcare technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and web applications.
• Work closely with senior engineers to implement new features and improve system performance.

• Help with documentation, testing, and integration of APIs and services.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic systems concepts.
• Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++).
• Understanding of Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in building modular, maintainable code.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
• Basic experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and software development workflows.
• Interest in healthcare, well-being, or mission-driven technology products is an advantage.
