About the Role

Modern Marketers seeks an analytical, internet-fluent Online Reputation and Narrative Specialist to lead community sentiment steering, conversation tracking, and crisis communications for marquee creators. This role involves being the front-line observer and narrative driver across Indian digital culture, actively tracking public perception, countering bad-faith narratives, debunking misinformation with verified facts, and maintaining healthy, positive community discourse.

Key Responsibilities

• Real-Time Sentiment Monitoring: Track discussions, competitor threads, response videos, and viral chatter across Instagram, Twitter/X, and key Reddit communities.
• Narrative Defense and Steering: Actively enter high-traction comment sections and forum threads to steer discourse, debunk false claims, and anchor the creator’s perspective.
• Community Advocacy Operations: Manage a structured network of authentic community profiles to surface key facts, support positive commentary, and dilute bad-faith coordinated negativity.
• Rapid PR Response: Mobilize and execute coordinated counter-messaging within minutes when adverse narratives or coordinated brigading surface online.
• Platform Moderation and Reporting: Identify and report coordinated smear campaigns, targeted harassment, and guideline violations directly to platform review mechanisms.
• Intelligence Reporting: Provide regular sentiment audits, tracking shifts in audience perception and emerging cultural debate trends.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Platform Literacy: Deep practical knowledge of how Instagram comments, Twitter/X trends, and Reddit subreddits function, including comment sorting algorithms, upvote dynamics, and community moderation rules.
• Cultural and Political Awareness: Strong foundational understanding of current Indian socio-political discourse (Left-wing vs. Right-wing dynamics), creator economy debates, and trending social narratives.
• Persuasive Writing and Tone Control: Ability to write fact-based, calm, and convincing arguments across different personas without sounding defensive, aggressive, or like an automated bot.
• Technical Discipline: Working familiarity with multi-login workflows, secure browser management, and basic operational security.
• High Discretion: Absolute commitment to client privacy and confidentiality (strict NDA required).
