About the Role
Talcott Financial Group is seeking a summer intern to join the Investment Team to support their focus on designing, monitoring, and overseeing asset positioning relative to the liabilities of the general account. This is a ten-week, fast-paced summer program.
The selected Investment Intern will work on a hybrid schedule in the Hartford, CT office.
Key Responsibilities
- Support maintenance and improvement on existing asset liability models (ALM) and investment metrics/processes.
- Support maintenance and development of liquidity monitoring.
- Support the Credit and Strategic Asset Allocation teams with respect to monitoring/analytics.
- Work closely with Investment Operations, Analytics and Reporting Team to support dashboard development.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficient in MS Office Excel.
- General coding language experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- A rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or better will be given preference.
- Prior internship experience is preferred.
- Innovative and collaborative problem solver.
- Strong mathematical skills and understanding of financial concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with a positive attitude, willingness to learn.
- Proactive individual and quick learner.
