Watchout programmer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Watchout programmer role based in Delhi, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, program, and operate Dataton Watchout systems for live events.
• Ensure seamless playback of video content across LED walls and projection setups.
• Prepare show files.
• Integrate multiple media formats.
• Coordinate with video, lighting, and sound teams.
• Perform testing and technical checks before events.
• Troubleshoot system issues in real time.
• Optimize performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation for each project.
• Support equipment setup.
• Participate in rehearsals.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and clients to deliver high-quality visual experiences.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Dataton Watchout or similar media servers.
• Projection mapping.
• Multi-display setups.
• AV systems, including LED video walls, projectors, signal routing, and show control hardware.
• Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for show control and automation.
• Computer Science concepts and problem-solving skills.
• Background in Software Development or Back-End Web Development for system integration and workflow optimization.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Dataton Watchout or similar media servers.
• Familiarity with AV systems.
• Ability to work on-site at events, including occasional extended hours.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical crews and clients under time-sensitive conditions.
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Multimedia, or a related field is preferred; relevant practical experience is highly valued.
