About the Role

ChanaX is building simple, practical finance software for businesses and Chartered Accountants. We help teams manage invoices, quotations, payslips, customer records, and documents in one place, reducing the back-and-forth that slows down everyday finance and compliance work.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and improve AI-powered product features using LLMs, APIs, and automation workflows.
• Develop systems for document understanding, data extraction, classification, validation, and summarisation.
• Work with product and engineering teams to turn real user problems into reliable AI experiences.
• Evaluate model quality, improve prompts, and design safeguards for accuracy and consistency.
• Build and maintain backend services, integrations, and data pipelines that support AI features.
• Experiment quickly, measure outcomes, and ship improvements that create clear user value.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience building AI or backend products using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Practical understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and AI APIs.
• Experience with APIs, databases, cloud services, and production software development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in an early-stage environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with document processing, OCR, structured data extraction, or workflow automation is a strong advantage.
• Interest in finance, accounting, GST, compliance, or business-operations problems is a plus.
• A portfolio, GitHub profile, relevant projects, internships, or open-source work is valued more than a specific degree.
