About the Role
The Marketing and Business Development Intern will work full-time on-site at the Updatrr office in Gurgaon. This role involves assisting in planning and executing marketing initiatives, including online campaigns, content support, and WhatsApp-based outreach to Shopify merchants.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market and competitor research.
- Identify potential merchant leads.
- Support sales outreach.
- Help maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine positioning.
- Prepare presentations.
- Gather feedback from merchants to support product and go-to-market decisions.
- Perform basic reporting on campaign performance.
- Contribute ideas to improve customer acquisition and retention.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to work on-site in Gurgaon in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, presentation tools, and online communication platforms is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills.
- Market Research and Marketing Strategy skills.
- Sales skills.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing, e-commerce, or SaaS products is beneficial.
- Pursuing or having completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
