Test Engineer

About the Role

The Test Engineer role at X-Studio is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain test cases for web, mobile, and other digital products.
• Execute manual and automated tests.
• Perform functional testing across different platforms and devices.
• Identify defects and work with developers and product teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint activities.
• Contribute to test planning and test strategy.
• Help improve overall product quality through continuous feedback and optimization of testing processes.
• Create clear test reports.
• Communicate risks and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Test Engineering, including understanding of testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Hands-on experience with Test Execution and documenting detailed Test Cases.
• Practical experience in Testing of web and mobile applications, including cross-browser and cross-device testing.
• Proficiency in Functional Testing to validate requirements, workflows, and user scenarios.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail or similar).
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools or frameworks is an advantage.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and provide concise defect reports.
• Attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to improving product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in an agile or scrum environment is beneficial.
