Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and qualified Secondary SST Teacher to teach Social Studies to students in Grades 6–10. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics, along with effective classroom management and teaching skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
• Teach History, Geography, Civics, Political Science, and basic Economics as per grade-level requirements.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments.
• Use maps, charts, presentations, and real-life examples to enhance student understanding.
• Assess students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and awareness of historical, geographical, and social issues.
• Maintain classroom discipline and promote active student participation.
• Identify learning gaps and provide additional academic support where required.
• Maintain academic records, lesson plans, and student progress reports.
• Coordinate with colleagues, academic coordinators, and school leadership.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a relevant subject.
• B.Ed. is preferred or required as per the school's recruitment criteria.
• Strong knowledge of Social Studies concepts and teaching methodologies.

Experience

• Relevant teaching experience at the secondary level is preferred.
• Freshers with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may be considered based on the school's requirements.
