Capital Intern

About the Role

The Capital Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in Oklahoma City, OK. The intern will support the capital projects team by assisting with financial analysis, project budgeting, cost tracking, and preparation of internal reports and presentations. This role offers exposure to capital planning processes in a chemical manufacturing environment and the opportunity to learn about the lifecycle of capital investments from proposal through execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and validate project data.
• Update spreadsheets and dashboards.
• Evaluate project performance against timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, engineering, and operations to obtain project information and support decision-making.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools to create reports, track costs, and organize project data.

Qualifications

• Foundational skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and data interpretation, with the ability to work accurately with numerical information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing summaries, presentations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
• Organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and professional conduct.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in manufacturing, chemicals, or industrial operations; prior internship or project experience in these areas is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to continuous improvement in capital project processes.
