About Teero
Teero is fixing the antiquated $160B+ dental industry, which still relies on fax machines and phone tag, with a fast-growing staffing platform. Backed by Construct Capital, thousands of offices and hygienists use our platform monthly.
About The Role
As a member of the founding SDR team in Austin, you will be the first point of contact for many dental offices. This role is in-person, five days a week, at our Austin office. The focus is on quality conversations rather than high volume, aiming for approximately 60-80 calls per day. You will learn how offices operate, identify needs, and onboard those who can benefit from Teero. You will receive training on established processes from experienced Account Executives and will be expected to ramp up quickly with ongoing coaching. Opportunities for leadership and internal promotion are available as the team and company expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Run 60-80 outbound calls daily to dental offices nationwide, complemented by email follow-up.
- Engage in genuine conversations to understand office staffing, identify challenges, and determine if Teero is a solution.
- Onboard new offices and facilitate introductions to their Territory Manager.
- Employ persistence and creativity to follow up, as most offices will not agree on the first call.
- Maintain accurate notes and pipeline data to track effectiveness.
- Communicate feedback on objections, patterns, and customer interests to the team, influencing sales strategies and product development.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Persistence: Ability to overcome obstacles like voicemails or gatekeepers and find alternative approaches.
- Hustle: High energy, competitive drive, and a commitment to high standards.
- Call Quality Focus: Prioritize listening, asking pertinent questions, and differentiating between productive conversations and simply logged calls.
- Coachability: Receptiveness to feedback and prompt implementation.
- Communication Skills: Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role requiring persuasion, such as sales, hospitality, retail, recruiting, or customer service.
- Prior experience in a Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is not strictly required.
Nice-to-haves
- Some experience with cold-calling or outbound sales, including internships or side projects.
- Experience within the dental or healthcare sectors, or selling to small businesses.
- A competitive background, such as in athletics.
- Interest in startups and developing a career in sales.
This Role Isn't for You If
- You prefer high-volume dialer roles (e.g., 200+ calls per day) and measure success by call count.
- You are significantly impacted by rejection.
- You require a fixed script and a detailed, unchanging procedure for all tasks.
- You are seeking a remote-only position; this role requires in-person attendance at our Austin HQ.
