About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Infrastructure Engineer role based in Chennai, supporting Six Sigma Pvt Ltd’s client TCS. The role focuses on managing and maintaining server and network infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain server and network infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of systems.
- Monitor system health.
- Perform routine maintenance.
- Apply patches and updates.
- Resolve infrastructure-related incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure changes.
- Improve security posture.
- Support project deployments.
- Document configurations, procedures, and incidents.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Infrastructure and System Administration skills: Managing servers, operating systems, and enterprise environments.
- Networking skills: Configuring and troubleshooting switches, routers, and related network components.
- Network Security skills: Implementing and supporting security controls, firewalls, and compliance standards.
- Advanced Troubleshooting skills: Methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues.
- Relevant experience with virtualization, cloud platforms, or containerization technologies is beneficial.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, backup solutions, and scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
