DATA ANALYTICS INTERN

About the Role

This internship embeds you within the business intelligence and analytics team at MediNex Workforce. You will clean and manipulate operational data using Python, run statistical analyses, design interactive Tableau dashboards, and translate raw trends into clear executive narratives.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and reshape structured datasets using Python (Pandas, NumPy)
• Perform descriptive, diagnostic, and exploratory statistical analyses on core business metrics
• Design, build, and publish interactive dashboards, visual reports, and KPI trackers in Tableau
• Connect Tableau to flat files, spreadsheets, and SQL databases to automate reporting cycles
• Calculate critical business KPIs, cohort retention rates, conversion funnels, and trend forecasts
• Audit data integrity to ensure figures presented on dashboards match underlying operational sources
• Document analytical methods, metric definitions, and dashboard user manuals
• Share progress in a short daily check-in and present dashboard insights during weekly stakeholder reviews

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Hands-on familiarity with Python for data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy)
• Working knowledge of Tableau (calculated fields, parameters, filters, interactive dashboard design)
• Strong foundation in basic statistics (mean/median/mode, variance, correlation, hypothesis testing, distributions)
• Ability to turn complex numbers into clear, visually intuitive charts and summaries
• Detail-oriented mindset with high standards for data accuracy and visual consistency
• A laptop and a stable internet connection

Helpful but not required:

• Familiarity with SQL for basic data querying and extraction
• Exposure to Advanced Excel or other BI tools (Power BI, Looker Studio)
• A Tableau Public profile, GitHub repository, or portfolio showcasing interactive dashboards and analytics case studies

Qualifications

• Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc/M.Sc (Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, CS/IT), MCA, or related numerical disciplines
• Self-taught data analysts with portfolio projects demonstrating end-to-end dashboard builds
• Freshers seeking practical corporate business intelligence and analytics experience
• Candidates available to commit full-time for the duration of the internship

• Duration: 1 to 3 months
• Employment Type: Full-time internship
• Stipend: Up to INR 14,000 per month
• Location: India
• Workplace Type: Remote
• Work schedule: Full-time, Monday to Saturday or as assigned by your reporting manager.
