About the Role
Foreign Prep is seeking a part-time, remote Online CELPIP Trainer.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver live online sessions.
- Guide learners through all CELPIP modules.
- Provide targeted practice and feedback on listening, reading, writing, and speaking tasks.
- Prepare lesson plans.
- Utilize digital tools and learning resources.
- Evaluate student performance.
- Offer individualized improvement strategies.
- Create or adapt practice materials.
- Monitor learner progress.
- Maintain professional, supportive communication with candidates.
- Collaborate with the academic team to refine teaching methods and share best practices.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong English language proficiency with clear communication skills.
- Excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
- Skills in online teaching and classroom facilitation.
- Ability to manage virtual sessions, engage learners, and explain complex concepts.
- Familiarity with CELPIP test format and strategies.
- Experience preparing learners for language proficiency exams such as CELPIP, IELTS, or similar tests.
- Digital literacy skills, including comfort with:
- Video conferencing platforms
- Online whiteboards
- Learning management systems
- Basic document and presentation tools
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to plan lessons, track learner progress, and handle multiple batches or students.
- Demonstrated ability to work remotely in a self-directed manner.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Professional online teaching environment.
- Empathy, patience, and a learner-centered mindset.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant teaching certifications or prior test-prep experience are an advantage.
