Junior Interior Designer

About the Role

A Junior Interior Designer at Vamshi Shikha Design Studio LLP will support the design team in developing concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings for residential and commercial projects. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Hyderabad, offering a combination of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with space planning.
• Preparing construction drawings.
• Contributing to material and FF&E selections.
• Helping create presentations and mood boards for client reviews.
• Coordinating with vendors and contractors.
• Conducting site visits and measurements.
• Maintaining project documentation to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
• Working closely with senior designers to learn studio standards, contribute creative ideas, and support project delivery from initial concept through final completion.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
• Proficiency in basic graphic presentation tools (such as Adobe Suite or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to develop functional layouts and design solutions.
• Knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including the ability to read and assist in preparing detailed plans and technical documents.
• Understanding of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), with skills in selecting finishes, materials, and products aligned with project concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong visual sense, attention to detail, and ability to follow design direction while contributing original ideas.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a studio environment and interact professionally with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Ability to manage time, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to project deadlines and site requirements.
• Previous internship or 0–2 years of experience in interior design or related roles is an advantage.
