Role Overview

As a Communication Design Intern, you’ll be part of the team that brings Virohanʼs brand and communication to life. Youʼll work on actual design output ranging from reports, presentations, brochures, and social media creatives to website assets, campaigns, internal communication, and offline brand collaterals. This is an execution-heavy role. Youʼll receive briefs, content, references, and requirements and turn them into polished, on-brand communication. Youʼll need to understand what the communication is trying to say, who it is for, and how it should be presented.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day design requirements across digital, print, web, presentations, campaigns, and other brand touchpoints.
  • Design and adapt brochures, reports, social media creatives, website assets, internal communications, and other marketing and brand collaterals.
  • Work within Virohan’s brand identity and maintain consistency across different formats, channels, and audiences.
  • Apply strong fundamentals of typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, imagery, and visual storytelling to every asset.
  • Resize, repurpose, and adapt designs across formats and platforms while maintaining visual quality and consistency.
  • Incorporate feedback quickly and thoughtfully, manage revisions, and take designs through to final delivery.
  • Prepare production-ready files and export assets correctly for digital, print, web, and other use cases.
  • Support larger brand and communication projects by executing individual design requirements with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Keep an eye on strong design references and emerging formats, and bring relevant ideas into everyday execution.
  • Maintain organised working files, templates, design assets, and source files so work can be easily accessed, edited, and reused.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • Be comfortable working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Figma, or equivalent design tools like Canva.
  • Be curious about AI and emerging design tools, and open to experimenting with new ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Be a final-year undergraduate student or recent graduate from Communication Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
  • Have a strong foundation in visual communication, including typography, composition, layout, hierarchy, colour, and imagery.
  • Have a strong eye for detail and be particular about alignment, spacing, typography, consistency, and overall finish.
  • Be able to think through a communication problem and develop multiple creative approaches, rather than jumping directly into execution.
  • Have a portfolio that demonstrates thinking, concept development, and problem-solving, not just software skills.
