About the Role
Halff is seeking a Land Development Intern for their Tampa, FL office. This internship focuses on the design and construction observation for a range of public and private infrastructure projects.
Internship Dates: June 7th, 2027 - August 13th, 2027
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water/Wastewater, Public Works, and Land Development projects
- Perform drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
- Great communication skills
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
