Crop Advisor

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Crop Advisor role located in Solan. The Crop Advisor will provide field-level guidance to growers on crop protection, nutrition, and sustainable farming practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide field-level guidance to growers on crop protection, nutrition, and sustainable farming practices.
• Conduct regular farm visits and assessments.
• Diagnose crop issues.
• Recommend appropriate Syngenta products and application programs.
• Support customers with best practices for integrated pest and disease management.
• Coordinate product demonstrations and trials.
• Maintain accurate records of field observations.
• Share insights with sales and technical teams.
• Conduct training sessions for farmers and channel partners.
• Support seasonal campaigns.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related discipline.
• Basic proficiency with digital tools for reporting, data collection, and communication.

Qualifications

• Strong agronomic knowledge, including crop production, plant protection, and soil and nutrient management.
• Experience working directly with farmers or agricultural customers, providing field advisory and technical support.
• Ability to analyze field data, identify crop issues, and develop practical, evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct trainings and product demonstrations.
• Comfort working on-site in field conditions, including frequent travel within the Solan region.
• Knowledge of local cropping systems and regional agricultural practices is an advantage.
• Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainable agriculture principles.
